Hello, Was the school holiday last week and Evans thought it was a good idea to bring Xavier to Legoland Malaysia located at Nusajaya, Johor Bahru. It's also the only Legoland in Asia established in year 2012.
We bought our admission tickets online here but visitors can also buy it on the spot! I'm not sure if the prices vary but daily admission is limited, so my best advice is to purchase online. There's also a Legoland themed Hotel beside the theme park for convenience of visitors cause the park is actually quite far from everywhere. We stayed at Jalan Harimau and it took us approximately 20 minutes drive while those staying at the Legoland Hotel can just walk to the park as it is side by side.
We arrived as early as 9.30am and there were not much visitors yet, however they began to pour at 10am . It could also be cause we came too early. What I enjoy is that the queue for each rides/attractions is not time consuming and long as oppose to parents' nightmares of long length and time queue when going to public play places especially under the hot scorching sun.
There are more than 70 different rides, attractions and shows, & apart from one that we skipped due to technical difficulties, we basically went to all attractions and rides. Explore map here. Fortunately the weather wasn't scorching hot, we stayed for 3 hours completing all the list of things to do.
Driving lessons with kopi O driving license bought at the counter.
Those interested in going for this ride MUST prepare an extra clothing cause you WILL get wait at the end of the ride. Xavier got wet for sure, and he was pissed at the water for it HAHA and yes, I did bring extra clothes for us.
It was definitely a fun experience, especially if you have kids, doesn't matter if they love lego or don't appreciate it at all, kids will love this place for sure! Filled with thrilling heart-pumping rides, and educational activities, Legoland is the place for family bonding.
To be honest, I am not a theme park person as I get nausea easily from rides and after trying out one of the scary rides, I am sure-confirm that I am not a theme park person. Evans and Xavier persuaded me to get on the Mini Dragon Ride (the large one was scary looking but they both enjoyed it nevertheless), and I teared up after the ride out of fear. I must have had bad experiences with theme parks in my past life that I get so shaken up just by one ride.
Apart from me unable to enjoy, I actually had fun looking at Evans and Xavier going on the rides. If I'd be given a choice to come back, I'd say sure.... many many many years later. Or after I get more kids. Then Xavier can bring them go play the rides. Hopefully they don't inherit my fear of theme parks genes, that is.
Shopping at Legoland before heading back. It's like a paradise for kids who loves Lego cause they have different editions, characters etc They even have Duplo for toddlers!
