"Was hungry, and we were nearby the area after running some errands before dinner. This is not our first time having there, but it's only now I realized how much the price differs than other chicken rice stalls/shops. Apart from that, the portion of the chicken and bbq pork is huge too! Whereas normally, the chicken would be slap down by the side of the knife, so the chicken portion would look "more" . On top of that, for breast meat, the chicken is surprisingly soft and juicy. I would always salute those who manage to make their breast meat deliciously. The curry gravy of the pork curry is a tad bit oily-taste, but again, despite the price, it is worth it as the size of the pork served is big."

Plain canai (RM 1.20) & Beef murtabak (RM 5.50)

"One of those days when I craved strongly for canai. Typically served with your choice of meat curry - beef, chicken, or lamb. But this place, your canai is served with dal. Dal is different than curry ; dal uses lentil (just googled, it's a kind of seed) and in comparison to curry, it's more sweet and non-spicy."

Lamb Chop 

Richmond Cafe, Jalan Ellis

"Dinner with Evans' family few days ago was at a western cafe. They didn't have much on menu ; especially carbonara. But they do have tons of meat choices. Ordered the lamb chop as it's been awhile since my last lamb chop. Have always adore lamb, though people around me despises it for its smell. Which to me, is something pleasant. This lamb is soft, and juicy. It is accompanied with blackpepper gravy - which is not that peppery, but still sweet and flavourful. "

Vanilla ice cream, top with sprinkles - RM 3.50

Expert coffee shop, MJC

"Tasted like any other vanilla ice cream, sweet and fluffy-like. The feeling, that is. I don't really take ice cream, but this was actually a reward for Xavier finishing his rice and chicken. Had to really reward him because, the chicken rice we ordered for him was one of the worse ; hard rice, even harder, drier chicken."

Mango flavoured gelato, top with sliced peanut, chocolate and butterscoth chip (RM4.80) & Durian Pillow (RM10 - 3 quantity)

Rainforest Cafe, 6th mile

"My second time there after they renovated the place. Initially a garden/botanical garden with a tiny food/drink stall. The only thing I would have there, previously was their durian puff. But now since their place expanded, so does their menu. Had fried macaroni (no picture) and it was marvelous! Although probably thanks to MSG. Also tried their new gelato brand - Raintree Natural Gelato, mango flavoured gelato, it was soooo sweet. Will try the others soon. Notice that they have coconut gelato too! Ordered the durian pillow this time, instead of their durian puff. It has that durian scent and taste, but not as fulfilling as the durian puff. But nevertheless, still scrumptious!"

KFC breakfast meal set - RM 25.35

"Opted for the set meal which consists of 2 hot drinks (RM 7 ala carte total) ,2 hash brown, 1 classic rice (RM 7.30 ala carte), 1 zinger riser (RM5.65 ala carte), 1 twister lite (RM4.80 ala carte).

I am not sure how much does 1 hash brown cost, but total after adding all ala carte price is RM 24.75. However it is, only RM 20.90++ after recounting the set price, which is ; Classic rice with tea (RM7.30), Zinger Riser with 1 hash brown and tea (RM8.80) = RM 16.10 and add on, 1 ala carte twister lite, RM 4.80. So remaining 1 hash brown cost RM25.35-RM20.90 = RM4.45 (?). I told Evans this and his response was, might as well get Classic rice set, Zinger riser set and Twister Lite set with hash brown (RM7.95) and still cost RM24.05 (RM1.30 cheaper that "said set") p/s GST all included. So how like this? "

Kueh tiaw pork soup - RM5.50

Siang-Siang, Tabuan Jaya

"It's not always that I get to enjoy breakfast elsewehere because of the early morning traffic jam. So when I get to, I'd make sure to order something different. What better than pork meat soup. The meat is not as nice as the first pork meat noodle (link) I had. The meat is not much, and is not that chewy, the pork scent is really strong. Nevertheless, I had a wonderful time with this bowl."

Fruit rojak - RM 3.50/100gram

"Evans wanted to wash his car, so he suggested to wash at a new car-wash nearby that has a fancy, hispter cafe beside it! I am not fond of rojak in general because of the kinds of vege they mix it with, and the peanut bits they sprinkled on, but I do take pleasure in choosing what goes on my platter, and to taste it with spicy gravy - rojak sauce without the peanut bits. The first I had was in Seberkas, then when I went to Penang, I saw how each food court offers fruit rojak but I didn't get to try. So I have been craving since. But then, the fruits that G Cafe offered were not fresh, evidence from the yellow-brownish apple (then again apples are the easiest to spoil after a few hours), and also I came in right after the shop was opened in the morning. Not only that, the choices were not variant (Probably I came in to early for them to restocked their fruit choices and quantity), and of course, first impression is the best - fruits were not peeled and cut nicely. But it's what the end result that counts the most right? Yes, I still reap the benefits of this bowl. Partly because I enjoyed the vicinity - pretty posters hanged on the wall."

3 layer pork rice 

Mega coffee shop, King Center

"Sorry to start of with a non-halal picture for any Muslim readers. But to the non-Muslims, this 3 layer pork is to die for! I have always wanted to try from this stall, but I always bat an eye because of stall-loyalty ; that is to always eat from Evans friend's stall. But there were close 1 day, and Evans had this.. and I just had to try it as well! The pork is well-roasted and the sauce is just splendid!"

Rice + Meat set (incl. drinks) - RM 8.50

Little Sisters Cafe, Foochow Road

"I'm very bad at remembering or taking note of price promptly after ordering, so I forgotten how much is the ham & egg/pork chop BUT the both was just okay for me. As for the Pork Chop, I felt that it was too thin, and it lacks of taste & meat. Probably I think it is because of too much mayonnaise, and too little meat fillings. As for the ham & egg, the egg was too thin for my liking as I liked my eggs thick.. Nevertheless, it left with a surprise when I get a taste of cheese from the middle part... Also, why got 2 rice set? It's not Evans'... But both mine.. Not because I am a glutton.. Just that, Little Sisters Cafe is not only cheap, and the interior made me feel like a "hipster", the food is also amazing that I went back a couple days after! I tried the lemon sauce fish, and the sweet & sour sauce fish, and both I enjoyed very much."

Fried Chicken Rice - RM 5 

Shi Jia Huan coffee shop

"This is the chicken rice that I ate on the 1st/3 days I had to have lunch at this place because Xavier spotted a capsule machine and wanted to win the toy displayed on their poster. After 3 days of having lunch there, he finally got it. Anyways, back to the chicken rice. The rice is soft, but too bad the chicken is a tad dry. Also, what's chicken rice without kiam chai soup. The soup was delish. Whenever I eat chicken rice, it's the soup that I anticipate first! There's one chicken rice shop at King center that rotates their soup servings from kiam chai - peanut - corn but that's another story."

Murtabak ayam - RM 5

Taj Indian Cafe

"It's once in a blue moon that I'll agree with Evans (as he likes them) to have roti canai for dinner/lunch/supper because there was once 1 period where we ate canai for few days straight, and I am still afraid. But this murtabak chicken is amazing, because, one, the chicken is soft. (It's always gotta be about soft chicken because nowadays it's hard to get.) and two, the spiciness is there, but it's at a minimal level which makes the dish all so lovely. I really love Taj sambal (third sauce from left), and they even served it with their nasi lemak."

"Evans had their roti canai goreng (RM3.50). It looks like char kueh tiaw, but it's not. The closest taste to this is the mee mamak. New food experience as this is not common, but I would so order this  the next time I am there!"

"The rice portion big, chicken big, rice soft, but too bad, the chicken was dry and cold. Probably cause the food stalls is under aircond. The gravy was sweet and delicious, but the chicken would taste better if they maintained it hot."
